Drakensberg, day 2nd

Next day weather was perfect so we went for a longer walk. But first we had so sign in we are going to the mountains.
Beautiful nature. And me trying to hike in the highest stone.

WTF?

Time for a relax.

Drakensberg, day 1st

The Drakensberg means the Dragon Mountains and they are  the highest mountains in South Africa.

Weather wasn't very good so we didn't reach The policeman helmet. But I almost touched it :)

It started raining so we went back to our cottage and we had a braai.

Beach bebe

Sun, waves, sand... I am enjoying it as much as it is possible because next week I will have to fight with flood in Poland. But for now - view from our place.

Posing like always. Still the same :)

I found great ring so all cameras were on me :)

Playing with our shadows. You can notice my loooong foot.

Jump, jump, jump!

Big Blue

One of the most traumatic things for me here is fact that I can't swim. I tried many, many times to learn it but I am like a stone - always go down :) I am so jealous when I see surfers or guys who are not afraid to meet with enormous waves. But instead of swimming I can always tan and read magazines :) or books of Przybyszewski :/

Mitch is on the beach :)

"Help, help water is in my eyes"

"I will rescue you"

I survived :)

"I want to be like in the Baywatch"

It was wonderful weekend!

d' Urban

Durban in Zulu language is  eThekwini. It  is the third largest city in South Africa, forming part of the eThekwini metropolitan municipality. It is the largest city in KwaZulu-Natal and is famous as the busiest port in Africa.

Few words about etymology: in1835  town was proclaimed and named in honour of the Governor of the Cape, Sir Benjamin D’Urban.

With Joburg and Durban there is a the same problem: in the centre of these cities you can't walk safely. You won't see any white people, even in the cars. There is no white man land and I am so disappointed of this because there you can see real Africa. I don't know why but I love this mess on the streets, empty and destroyed buildings, strange wearing people...

Taking pics, even from the car with closed windows isn't safe to.  So I had to be very discreet and careful with taking pics of the people living there, and that's why I don't have many pics of them :)

But still I want to show you Durban seeing from my difficult perspective.

Wet n' wild

One of the most popular place here is uShaka - marine world.

It is ful-filled water wonderland (as brochure says) with many pools, sliders and many shows. It is so great place for someone who can't swim right?! But still, I enjoyed a lot :)

Oh yeah! It is time for fun. I was very careful with all the sliders but Pawel went to the biggest one.

After water games was time for posing.

Aaah! I was going to the phantom ship and I wanted to turn my way :)

Later we went to see dolphins and seals show.

uShaka is really worth to see and enjoy. I am sure we will come back there soon.

In the evening we had braai with friends from Pawel's work. Braai in South Africa is our european barbecue or grill. But before it, we went to the muslim shop and bougth really, really nice meat for it. It was good day!

P.S Sorry for the bad pics.
